Ingredients

Gingerbread Men
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup MagicalButter
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
Gingerbread Cupcakes
  • 1 Box White Cake Mix
  • 1 Box Pudding Mix
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp all spice
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted MagicalButter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup molasses
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1/2 MagicalButter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Gingerbread Men
  • In a small sauce pot, mix together sugar, molasses, ginger, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir occasionally until your mixture begins to boil.
  • Add one stick of MagicalButter and stir until melted.
  • After the butter has melted, add 2 teaspoons of baking soda. This will cause your mixture to foam (this is normal). Stir then transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  • Beat the egg in a separate bowl then add to foam mixture. Add flour and mix until is starts to form a dough. Remove dough from the mixing bowl and knead on a floured surface until completely mixed.
  • Divide dough in half and wrap one half in plastic wrap while you work on the other half. Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out in your favorite holiday shapes and bake at 350º Fahrenheit for 12 minutes.
Gingerbread Cupcakes
  • After pulling out Gingerbread men to cool, lower oven to 325°F.
  • Add your cupcakes liners to your cupcake tray.
  • Add the cake mix and pudding mix to a large bowl. Add the dry spices in and mix to combine.
  • Add the wet ingredients, then whisk to combine.
  • Once a smooth texture is reached and everything is incorporated, add 2 tablespoons of mix to each cupcake liner. Using a 1 tablespoon scoop will help you to accurately measure.
  • Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes.
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • In a stand mixer combine the MagicalButter, cream cheese and vanilla until it looks mixed.
  • Add in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until incorporated.
  • Mix until creamy!
