Ingredients

Collard Greens
  • 1 bunch collard greens
  • 2 tablespoons MagicalButter
  • 1/4 cup white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 pound thick cut bacon, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth or stock
  • 2 cups water
Black Eyed Peas
  • 2 tablespoons MagicalButter
  • 1/2 pound thick cut bacon, chopped
  • 12 oz black eyed peas
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
Fried Pork Chops
  • Flour, enough for dredging
  • Eggs, enough for dredging
  • 12 oz bone in pork chops
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Frying oil

Collard Greens
  • Add 2 tablespoons of MagicalButter to a medium sized pot on medium-high heat.
  • Once butter is melted, add the onion and cook until fragrant.
  • Add the chopped bacon and cook until it starts to change color.
  • Lay the collard greens out flat, then roll them up into a tube for easier cutting.
  • Section the greens into 4 or 5 large pieces, then add to the pot.
  • Add chicken broth and water, then reduce heat to medium.
  • Cover with lid and stew for 2 hours.
Black Eyed Peas
  • Add all of the ingredients to a medium sized pot, set to medium heat.
  • Cover with a lid, then let simmer for at least 2 hours.
Fried Pork Chops
  • Set aside a bowl of flour and a bowl of eggs for dredging.
  • Add the salt and pepper to the flour and mix to combine.
  • Dip the pork chops into the flour and coat fully, then transfer to the eggs and do the same. Dip once more in the flour then add to the frying oil.
  • Once golden brown, remove from oil and set on paper towel to dry.
